Kína megmenekülése a koronavírus kitörés pandémiává fokozódásától

A WHO és a kínai kormány megbízásából a helyszínen alapos vizsgálatot folytató, független 25 fős nemzetközi szakértői csoport jelentésének legegyszerűbb értelmezése szerint (ld. Report of the WHO-China Joint Mission on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), 16-24 February 2020 — a missziótól kapott formában közzé téve, teljes 40 oldalas terjedelemben, a WHO által nem rövidítve):

Tegnapi összefoglaló a csoport munkájáról: China has changed course of COVID-19 outbreak: WHO expert (Streamed live on Feb 27, 2020, New China TV, 55½ perc). Ebből megtudhatók Kína páratlan sikerének hasonlóképpen páratlan összetevői is.

China has changed the course of #coronavirus outbreak, says a WHO expert in Geneva. Bruce Aylward says a rapidly escalating outbreak in China has come down faster than previously expected. (recorded)

A Vuhan/Wuhan-ban folytatott páratlan küzdelemről ma jelent meg egy részletes összefoglaló videó: The lockdown: One month in Wuhan (Feb 28, 2020, CGTN, 33¼ perc)

At 10 a.m. on January 23, Wuhan went into lockdown. This was done to stop a deadly virus from spreading further across the nation. It was one day before Chinese New Year’s Eve, a major travel day for people planning to return home for the holidays. This documentary is dedicated to all those who’ve been battling tirelessly against the COVID-19 virus in order to keep the epidemic at bay. Their efforts in safeguarding humanity from the virus will always be remembered. #Coronavirus #CGTNDocumentary

Számomra fontos részletek a jelentésből:

p. 6: China’s National Infectious Disease Information System (IDIS), which requires each COVID-19 case to be reported electronically by the responsible doctor as soon as a case has been diagnosed. It includes cases that are reported as asymptomatic and data are updated in real time. Individual case reporting forms are downloaded after 2400hr daily.

p. 8: China has a policy of meticulous case and contact identification for COVID-19. For example, in Wuhan more than 1800 teams of epidemiologists, with a minimum of 5 people/team, are tracing tens of thousands of contacts a day. Contact follow up is painstaking, with a high percentage of identified close contacts completing medical observation. Between 1% and 5% of contacts were subsequently laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19, depending on location.

p. 15: [The third stage] New technologies were applied such as the use of big data and artificial intelligence (AI) to strengthen contact tracing and the management of priority populations.

containment

p. 19: Fundamental to these measures [of containment] is extremely proactive surveillance to immediately detect cases, very rapid diagnosis and immediate case isolation, rigorous tracking and quarantine of close contacts, and an exceptionally high degree of population understanding and acceptance of these measures.

p. 27: By 29 January, all provinces across China had launched the highest level of response for major public health emergencies.

pp. 28-29: third stage of major intervention measures
– Shenzhen municipality: after Feb. 5, 2020
– Guangdong province: after Jan. 29, 2020
– Sichuan province: after Feb. 6, 2020
– national level: after Feb. 8, 2020

p. 31: IT platform: China has capitalized on the use of technology, big data and AI for COVID-19 preparedness, readiness and response. Authoritative and reliable information, medical guidance, access to online services, provision of educational tools and remote work tools have been developed in and used across China. These services have increased accessibility to health services, reduced misinformation and minimized the impact of fake news.

p. 34: According to preliminary data from Guangzhou CDC as of 20 February, virus can initially be detected in upper respiratory samples 1-2 days prior to symptom onset and persist for 7-12 days in moderate cases and up to 2 weeks in severe cases.
